It's a known fact that housing has gone up across the country. Some within reason, some not. If you watch any of those shows on HGTV or TLC or watch News of the Really Stupid Amounts of Money People Will Spend to Buy a House, then you know that San Diego has one of the highest housing markets. I believe our current median price for a single family home has
dropped to something in the mid $400,000's. So basically half of the homes are above that price and half are below. Apartments are being converted to "condos" left and right and selling for the economical price of $200,000. I usually don't read the Home section of the Sunday paper because it depresses me. However, this caught my eye:
Carlsbad, CA (one of the nicer communities in the northern part of San Diego)
$100,000 in upgrades to include: Marble flooring and interior drywall construction
Year Built: 1972
1300 square feet
Asking price: $695,000

That's right, my friend. For nearly $1 million you can own yourself a mighty fine Mobile Home.

This is a totally serious listing! Mobile homes in this particular park are selling in the $500,000's. Of course, that's not typical of all trailor parks in the area. This just happens to be an upscale one, whatever that means.
LMAO, That is too funny. I can't believe that. HEre I could buy about 10 for that price.
