Here's another fun theme for the end of the week, sponsored by Kristine.
Three things to take pictures of: The eyesore in your neighborhood, a picture taken secretly, and the most interesting/funny sign in your area.
First. Here is the eyesore in my neighborhood. This was difficult since our Home Owners Association is pretty stringent. But look! The lawn ornaments. Ack!! What? You can't see them?? There are little white bunnies along the walkway and the flowerbox along the garage window has PLASTIC flowers in it. The flag...just hanging there on the post, no pole or bracket or anything.
Second: the secret picture. I took this one on the way to Trey's school today. These guys hang out here every single day, hoping for work. They're Mexican immigrants hoping to make a buck. They stand out here for HOURS.
Third: a funny sign. This sign was on Interstate 5 for years and has even been shown on tv since it's one of those "Things that make you go hmmm".

i don't see what the big deal is... if i were driving my cruise ship down the expressway, i'd want to know which exit i should take. makes perfect sense to me... ;-)
LOL on the flag... and the sign. it does make you go "hmmm..."
the immigrants made me sad!;) it tugged on my hearstrings... okay, i'm being cheesy now!
have a nice weeekend!
That sign is too funny. They couldn't afford three more letters to put the word "For" in front of it?
Geez, you'd think that the cruise ships would sustain some serious damage using the freeway like that, huh?
(I played the The Kept Woman)
Hi, came over from Kristine's.
Love the freeway picture!
I clicked on your "Flamingo Lawn Ornaments" ad. Isn't it funny what kind of ads pop up there?
Plastic flowers...priceless!! LOL
I *WISH* our HOA would put the smack down on ornaments in the front yard!!
I am not kidding...there is one house that has a LIFE SIZE "sculpture" of a Rottweiler out front! I love dogs and Rotties are cool, but a fake one out front just look reee-diculous!
I should have tried to snap a picture of that for my secret photo (as it is up near their porch and I would have had to be stealth), but I'm afraid their REAL Rottie might have come out to greet me. Yes, they have a fake one in addition to a real one.
Those immigrants should stand in front of Home Depot like the ones in my town - they are usually gone by 9:00 a.m. ... working!
I've seen that sign before! LOL Great photos!
Hey, I just noticed that there are only 18 more days till hubby gets home. HOORAY.
FIFTEEN DAYS!!!! FIFTEEN DAYS!!!!
